
Film Journey to Audience

Whenever you want to make a film the first thing to think about is the people who are going to see your project, the audience i.e cinema goers, those who purchased DVD’s, Video on Demand (VOD) Subscribers- Netflix,Youtube and Television viewers.
I will be taking you through the process of film from as an idea to a film and finally to product that get marketed to the consumers ( Audience)
Development – The stage at which a project is conceived, typically led by a producer, writer or director. The screenplay is written and routinely undergoes rewriting and editing during this phase. Finance is secured either from savings, extra cash or borrowing from family and friends or through a sponsor and key members may be brought in at this stage.
Pre- Production – The planning stage in film production after the project is ready for principal photography at this stage, the script is locked and the project begins scheduling, set designs and construction, costing, budgeting and financial planning and location scouting.
Production – The shooting stage where your principal photography is taken and includes art department, costume, make-up and hair, set construction, smartphone and sound recording and more.
Post-production- This is the editing of audio and visual materials to create a film. An editor assembles footage shot by shot, adds music, visual effects, colour correction, graphics. These elements are put together to create an experience we call a film.
Distribution- The stage where you the producer or production company licence your film right to bring the film to an audience via a cinema release, Film festivals, TV, VOD’s and other platforms.
